Problem
How does a robot behave when it’s a pet? Do robots always have to do chores? Can they find their own meaning in life? Our team explored how robots and humans can socially interact in a home environment.

Method
This was an exploration into intelligent objects in the home. We read research literature and discussed how robots are used today, and we imagined a fun future.

Solution
Our team designed Amici as a robot that socializes with family members. It gets energy through social interactions with family members as a well as each other. It learns and will grow to reflect the specific relationship it has with its owner. Possible interactions are explored through two scenarios in the Presentation.
